BANDUNG - The Governor of West Java Ahmad Heryawan gave speech on the openning of the third swimming championship in 2017 among kindergartens, elementary schools, junior and senior high schools students deviate from Java and Bali at Swimming Pool Indonesia University of Education (UPI), Bandung (3/3/2017).
The swimming championship among students was held by the committees of Indonesian Reporters Association (PWI) and Indonesian Family Reporters Association (IKWI) in West Java entitled "Piala Kang Aher" Swimming Championship. During this third championship, the participants of this championship was not only from Java, but also from Bali.
"Yes this championship is from West Java, but now we extend so that Bali can also join this championship. Of course, this is a very good activity," Aher said.
Anjar Asmara as the Head Committee said that there were four reasons of holding "Piala Kang Aher" Swimming Championship which were to facilitate students especially swimmers in order to improve their achievements, to look for potential swimming athletes, to make positive interactions between schools, and to make sense of competitiveness in young generation.
This third championship was closed to public since it could be joint by students. The championship was held from March 3rd to 4th 2014 at UPI's Swimming Pool at Dr. Setiabudhi Street Number 229 Bandung. The participants reached 600 people. Every school is free to send their students because there is no limit numbers.
Every champion from each group championship will be given medals, certificates, and gifts. In this year, the additional gift will be given. It is savings accounts from BJB Bank. While, the general champion which is the school who have the biggest number of champion will receive Kang Aher trophy and money.
