BANDUNG - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is going to release the 4th Generation of Rail Clinic in mid-2017. The Rail Clinic is planned to be operated in Java Island.
Manager of Public Relations (Humas) PT KAI Operational Area (Daop) 2 Bandung, Joni Martinus explained that the latest Generation will have a longer size because it has 4 passenger carriages. The four carriages are not only for medical services and facilities, but there will be also library.
"We're going to launch the 4th Generation of Rail Clinic in May 2017," he informed the reporters in Bandung, Thursday (3/2/2017).
Joni explained that the Rail Clinic provides medical services in the spots which are still remote from health facilities. For example, recently it has been operated in Indihiang Sub-district, Tasikmalaya, West Java.
"Rail Clinic provides free medical treatments or services for people who are remote from health facilities," he said.
Joni continued that previously PT KAI has launched three generations of Rail Clinic. The 1st Generation has been operated in Java Island. The 2nd Generation operates in South Sumatera Region and Tanjung Karang. "Meanwhile, the 3rd Generation is aimed for North Sumatera Region," he said.
