BANDUNG-The government of Sukabumi Regency is supported by Bio Farma held a socialization regarding the development of Cileutuh-Pelabuhanratu National Geopark (GNCP) become UNESCO Global Geopark, Tuesday (28/2) at the auditorium of Sukabumi Regency Secretary. The event is a cooperation between Tourism Department of Sukabumi Regency and Bio Farma.
"The socialization is aimed to give insight to the government and the apparatus at villages which is included in GNCP regarding the concept og Geopark," said Dana Budiman, Head of Tourism Department of Sukabumi Regency.
According to Bio Farma Ltd., the event was attended by 250 persons from Sub-district Leadership Conference (Muspika), villages, police, and Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in 8 sub-districts that are included into GNCP area such as Ciemas, Ciracap, Surade, Waluran, Simpenan, Palabuhanratu, Cikakak, and Cisolok sub-districts.
According to Andjang Kusumah, Director of Humman Resources of Bio Farma, "We coordinated with UNESCO Global team by visiting to their central office in Paris, France this month. Then we gave socialization to the related parties of Ciletuh Geopark regarding the result of our meeting in France, so we can help in preparing the visitation from UNESCO team in May 2017. Bio Farma also supervised the preparation and development of the citizens in the Ciletuh Geopark area since 3 years ago," he sadi.
In the socialization, Prof. Mega Fatimah Rosana as expert gave explanation regarding the concept of Geopark, delineation and development of GNCP.
YUdith Wiweko, as special interest tourism activist also became the keynote speaker in the event to give insight in developing the tourism activities in GNCP. (Pun)
