BANDUNG-The Executive Vice Presiden of Telkom Regional 3 West Java/ EVP TR3 of West Java, Ketut Budi Utama (KBU), and the Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan (Aher), signed the agreement in developing the telecommunication facility in tourism area of Ciletuh National Geopark, Ujung Genteng Sukabumi, at Gedung Sate, Monday (21/2).
The Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar, and Deputy EVP Marketing TR3 of West Java, M. Khamdan, were also attended the meeting.
Ciletuh Geopark is built as tourism site at Pelabuhan Ratuand will be international standard tourism area by UNESCO. The geopark is located between Sukabumi and Pelabuhan Ratu, which is known as Ujung Genteng.
UNESCO will consider the feasibility of the nastional park according to the appropriate public facilities, such as musholas, toilets, restaurants and hotels, the hygiene, transportation facility, information facility, and sign system.
Telkom as Indonesian State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in West Java are commited to involve in developing the broadband telecommunication facility in the tourism area. For the moment, Telkom is the only telecommunication provider which are offered to develop the area.
The MOU (memorandum of understanding) was signed today will be further explained in a form of agreement which contains the services that are going to be delivered. For the first pase, the government asked Telkom to strengthen the signal in order to ease the communication in Cileutih Geopark. jo
