BANDUNG-The programs of Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) are planned to begin in August 2017 with the first order to carry out task, the establishment of TPS and establish the list of voters.
Head of General Elections Commission (KPU) of Bandung, Rifqi Alimubarok said that they need to ensure that all citizens of Bandung are registered as voters.
"We have called on citizens to immediately resolve administrative problems, mainly related to E-ID card," he said
According to Rifqi, there are several steps that must be carried out by the Commission, one of the most crucial steps is to update the list of voters.
"The use of electronic ID cards is already effective in Bandung, later data compiled by the Commission will be based electronic ID cards," he explained.
Rifqi hopes that in the process of simultaneous election, there will be no problems occurred in other regions, also occur in Bandung, where there are many citizens who are not yet registered as permanent voters because they haven't been recorded in electronic ID cards.
"So there are some efforts to do in updating the data. It is the most difficult one, including socialization and so on," he said. (Parno)
