MAJALENGKA- Indonesian Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi informed that International airport of West Java in Kertajati, Majalengka regency will be operated in the middle of 2018. Budi admitted that the finishing of the airport is off target that was targeted to be finished in the beginning of the year.
"Before we expected that this airport will operate in the beginning of 2018. Considering the progress is slow, I think it will be off the target, so it will operate in the middle of 2018, he said during his visit to BIJB in Kertajati, Majalengka Regency accompanied by Governor of West Java Ahmad Heryawan, on Friday (24/2).
One of the factors that caused this to happen is the problem in land acquisition in several areas.
"Yes land acquisition is one of the causes; the Governor will explain it in detail. I think there is no problem in the construction," said Budi.
As observed, the main terminal is being constructed after rainway 1 was finished, that is now 40% finished. (Pun)
