    International Broadcasting Forum Discussed Digitizing and Converging Media

    BANDUNG - Annual Forum of Broadcasting From Various Countries that Cooperated with Islamic Organization (OKI) which was OIC Broadcasting Regulatory and Authorities Forum (IBRAF) was held in Bandung on Febuary 22nd to 23rd 2017 with Media for World Harmony as its theme.

    This forum was begun by holding internation conference which was followed by many informa from many countries such as Turkey, Moroccos, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, and Australia.

    The Head of central Indonesia Comission of Broadcasting (KPI) who was also the President of IBRAF, Yuliandre Darwis said that the purpose of holding this annual meeting was to deliver massage to the world, that broadcasting had role in giving harmony in living between countries.

    "We also exchange information about world broadcasting trend and share various regulations and how to solve it," he said to reporters in Bandung, Rabu (2/22/2017).

    According to him, the problem of digitizing and converging media had become one of the important topic that should be discussed in this annual meeting. He observed that, some countries did not give authorities for broadcasting regulators yet to participate controlling new media.

    "It wiil become intersting, if each country has chance to share their experience from other country about new media regulation in converging media," he revealed.

    Yuliandre expected that Indonesia became one of the countries of IBRAF that gave contribution to reach comperhension with many countries of IBRAF members.

    "I expect Indonesia gives positive contribution to other countries as the basic of designing solution and its implementations," he concluded.
