TASIKMALAYA-It took 3 hours to travel from Bandung city to take the group of The Chief, Vice Chief, and the executive board of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana to a Naga village which is known by its tradition and costumary which is located at Neglasari village, Salawu sub-district, Tasikmalaya regency.
The chief of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana PD III/Siliwangi, Mrs. Eka Diyah Rusyati M. Herindra, was accompanied by Vice Chief, Mrs. Dra. Widiasih YP. Sembiring, with the executive board of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, executive board of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana rem 062/Tn Garut Branch Office and Commander of Military District Commands (Dandim) 0612/Tasikmalaya, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Kurniawan, who also accompanied the Chief of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana during their activities at Naga village, Monday (20/2).
At Naga village, there are approximately 113 buildings which are located on a 1.5-hectare land, and on that land there cannot be any more building. According to legend, there are two woods which cannot be entered by people aimlessly which are prohibited and sacred forests (hutan larangan and hutan keramat), besides there cannot be any permanent elements. There are only 110 houses, 108 families and 314 citizens.
The arrival of the group of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana PD III/Siliwangi was to deliver the help for Naga village citizens which are 108 packages of oil-based (petromaks) lamps, rice, sugar, vegetable oil, milk and instant noodle.
"We hope through the delivery of petromaks lamps can be used to illuminate Naga vilage while the groceries can be helped to ease their daily burden," he said.
The oil-based lamps and groceries were delivered directly and symbolic by the Chief of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana PD III/Siliwangi to the Head of Punduh represented the citizens of Naga village. (Pun)
