BANDUNG - Anti-drug National Front of West Java was officially declared at Sate Building, Saturday (2/18). Attending the declaration were the Governor of West Java Ahmad Heryawan and Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar, Chief of Regional Police Command (Kapolda) of West Java and Commander of Military Territory (Pangdam) III/Siliwangi. In front of the declaration participants who were mostly high school students of Greater Bandung, the Governor of West Java Ahmad Heryawan said that a school should become the second home for student
"Schools should become the second home for students. It is also the teachers' responsibility to become the second parents for students. Create the atmosphere in schools to be as comfortable as possible," he said.
With the comfortable atmosphere, according to the Governor, the students will be prevented from the negative environment as well as the endurance of family which provides warmth at home.
"The endurance of family and school which is comfortable will prevent students from the negative social environments, since the students or children will not look for a new negative social relationship and they will be prevented from drugs eventually," he explained.
Anti-drug National Front of West Java was declared due to the initiative of the Brotherhood of Institute of Islamic Mass Organizations (LPOI). It was also supported by the Provincial Government, Police Command, National Army of Indonesia (TNI), and a number of Mass Organizations. (Pun)
