    West Java's Inflation in November at 0.18%


    BANDUNG - In November 2015, the West Java composit consumer price index (IHK) covers 7 cities namely Bogor, Sukabumi, Bandung, Cirebon, Bekasi, Depok and Tasikmalaya increasing index.

    IHK in October 2015 from 119.87 became into 120.08 in November 2015, thus there was an inflation of 0.18 percent. The inflation rate of the calendar year "year to date" (January-November 2015) of 1.93 percent and the inflation rate from year to year (November 2015 to November 2014) stood at 4.11 percent.

    "The seven expenditure groups who had inflation, such as Foodstuffs Group amounted to 0.36 percent, Group of Food, Beverages, Cigarettes & Tobacco by 0.41 percent, Health Group by 1.06 percent, Group of Education, Recreation and Sports of 0, 04 percent, and Group Transport, Communications and Financial Services by 0.05 percent,” said Doddy Gunawan, Head of Statistics Distribution of West Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS), on Tuesday (2/12)

    While other groups experienced deflation ie Housing group, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuels by 0.02 percent and Garment Group by 0.35 percent.

    IHK’s observation of the seven cities in West Java by November 2015, resulted the city which experienced inflation are Bogor by 0.27 percent, Sukabumi by 0.28 percent, Bandung by 0.19 percent, Cirebon by 0.17 percent, Bekasi City by 0.03 percent, Depok by 0.23 percent and Tasikmalaya City by 0.41 percent.

    Health groups contributed the highest inflation rate of 1.06 percent. The sub-group most of its high inflation, namely sub-group of health services by 1.72 percent. Commodities that became the biggest contributor to inflation of this sub-group is the hospital rates.
