    West Java PLN (State Electricity Company) Continues to Accelerate Jabar Caang

    GARUT-estimated 1.5 million to 2 million households (families) in West Java those are still not able to enjoy the flow of electricity. State Electricity Company (PLN) together with the provincial government and district / city will continue to increase the electrification.

    West Java PLN General Manager Iwan Purwana said that until the end of last year in West Java electrification ratio is recorded at 96.8%, there are still about 3.2% more than the total number of households today still do not enjoy access to electricity.

    "The amount is about 1.5 million to 2 million households. PLN cooperates with the government in hand to realize the target Jabar Caang in 2018, "he said in Garut, Wednesday (8/2).

    As for the city/ regency which is a priority of Jabar Caang, PLN in achieving this, among others Pangandaran, Tasikmalaya, Garut, Indramayu, Cianjur, Majalengka, Sukabumi and a small area in Bandung and West Bandung regency. For areas with the lowest electrification ratio among other Pangandaran, Garut and Tasikmalaya.

    In the region of Garut alone in 2016 recorded 28 villages of 16 districts successfully electrified by the addition of 1,482 consumer customers.

    To note, in 2016 the realization of the Rural Electrification Program in PLN West Java Distribution reached 243 villages / settlements, with 116 pieces total connected power substations and reaches 7,700 kilovolt ampere (kVA).

    While the length of medium voltage networks (JTM) which have been built along the 87.69 kilometer circuit (kms) long and low voltage networks (JTR) over 375.94 kms.
