    Governor Strengthen 792 “Motekar”


    BANDUNG - West Java Governor H. Ahmad Heryawan confirmed 792 Motivator Family Resilience (Motekar) at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga), Bandung, on Monday (30/11).

    The Motekar inauguration of 27 districts/cities in West Java was conducted by Governor based on Governor Decree Nomor 463/Kep.694-BP3AKB/2015 dated June 25th, 2015. The inauguration was followed by embedding marks Motekar participants by the Governor to the two Motekar representatives, namely Parman and Nurul Amah.

    The event was attended by Head of BKKBN dr. Surya Chandra Surapaty, MPH, MPD, Head of BP3AKB, Dr. Hj. Nenny Kencanawati, Head of OPD West Java Province, Chief Representative BKKBN West Java province, Drs. Sugilar, Villages Team Activator, and invited guests.

    Governor in his speech said, the presence of Motekar is an innovation of West Java to the next generation. Since 2010 in order to control the population in West Java, it’s also assisted the family planning program (PLKB) who have attended previously, namely Villages Team Activator (TPD) and Small Village Team Activator (TPK).

    "On behalf of the Government of West Java Province, I congratulate to Motekar, and also TPD and TPK who have created some works, and the results are already visible, both in the context of population control and other population issues,” said the Governor.

    Governor revealed in 2008, population growth in West Java or Population Growth Rate (LPP) in West Java, namely 1.9 percent, then it drop to 1.8 percent. And by the presence of various parties, including TPD and TPK, it continues down to 1.6 percent.

    If it looked at the eastern part of West Java, like Kuningan, LPP was only 0.45 percent. It's a sign of success. Similarly, the other districts in the Eastern Region like Majalengka, Cirebon, Pangandaran, Ciamis, Tasikmalaya and others.

    While in the western region of West Java the presence of population growth stemming from urbanisation. Therefore, if in Kuningan was 0.45 percent, LPP in Bekasi had reached at 4.1 percent.


    "This does not mean that TPD and TPK in Bekasi less successful, it more because of modernisation and industrialisation which created of urbanisation so that the population growth is higher," he said.
