    Land Acquisition of BIUTR Needs USD 900 Billion


    BANDUNG-Provincial Government (Provincial) of West Java will discuss in detail with the central government related to land acquisition process of Bandung Intra Urban Toll Road (BIUTR) development one of which is for the toll roads of Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) to Soekarno Hatta Bandung. This land acquisition cost up to Rp 900 billion.

    West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said that the land acquisition of GBLA to Soekarno Hatta (Bypass) is big enough cost Rp 3 million per meter, the new land of BIUTR from inter change 149 plus the previous Rp 350 billion so spend around Rp 1.25 trillion ,

    "We'll talk about details such as what is clearly BIUTR already discussed in 2008, now will be built again reportedly from the center of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is ready just do the land acquisition," he told reporters in Bandung on Sunday (05.02.2017 ).

    Heryawan explained, the cost does not include the other land acquisition. West Java provincial government hopes construction of the road from Pasteur toward Cileunyi costs lighter because through the streets and underpasses that are already owned by the government so it does not need to acquire land.

    "Not to mention the acquisition of land in a place that requires a considerable cost," he said.

    The plan, he added, it will discuss this BIUTR land acquisition with the Central Government, the Province of West Java and Bandung. So that there is certainty of the duties and responsibilities of their respective Governments.  

    "When it comes to the target first it is to be discussed with the ministry, the initial meeting just charted each task who is responsible for what in detail," he explained.

    West Java Governor also welcomed the development of BIUTR because it is considered to solve the problems of transport in the city of Bandung.

    "The existence of BIUTR, Insha Allah can answer the problems of transport in the city of Bandung," he concluded. (MAT)
