BANDUNG-Three districts in West Java become a priority work area of AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), an international organization that supports programs of prevention and control of HIV / AIDS in Indonesia. The third area is the District of Purwakarta, Indramayu, and Pangandaran.
In addition to governments and hospitals, AHF is also working with a number of Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in running the program in these districts. As stated in the Kick Off Meeting Program AHF Indonesia event that is held by West Java Provincial Health Office, in Bandung, Tuesday (7/2).
Deputy Head of AHF Asia Bureau, Yugang Bao PhD, said there are two priority strategies run by AHF, a program of prevention and HIV testing and treatment programs as well as treatment disease related illnesses. Both strategies were carried out in countries that have the support of AHF.
"We currently support the prevention and control of HIV / AIDS program in 40 countries in the world and 10 countries among others in Asia, including Indonesia," he said.
Support of AHF in the first phase will last until 2019 includes a number of priority programs including increasing access to HIV / AIDS services such as HIV testing and treatment by community groups. Additionally, AHF Indonesia will prioritize the provision of qualified and affordable HIV / AIDS service for public. jo
