BANDUNG-West Java Central Statistic Agency Head of Distribution Statistics Dudung Supriyadi said based on the results of prices monitoring in 17 regencies, Farmer Exchange (NTP) in West Java, in January 2017 amounted to 103.25, down 1.01 percent compared to Farmer Exchange in December 2015 recorded at 104.31.
"The farmer exchange decline was caused by lower Price Index Accepted Farmers 0.20 percent while Farmers Paid Price Index rose by 0.82 percent," he told reporters in Bandung, Wednesday (01/02/2017)
In January 2017, farmer exchange of four agricultural subsectors decreased, including horticulture sub-sector fell 1.74 percent from 112.83 into 110.86, the livestock sector fell by 1.27 percent from 113.45 into 112.01, food crops are down 1 , 06 percent from 98.67 into 97.63, fisheries subsector fell to 0.07 percent from 100.46 into 100.39. While farmer exchange of smallholder tree crops subsector rose 0.66 percent from 97.18 into 97.83.
"This January, four agricultural sub-sector declined among sub-sectors of horticulture, livestock, food crops and fisheries," he concluded. (MAT)
