BANDUNG-Governor, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank BJB launched or activated the student savings deposits or Simpel at Gedung Sate, Bandung.
West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan in his speech hoped BJB revive the habit of saving and well behave managing finances.
According to him, Simpel was considerable potential in West Java because of the number of students in West Java. "Simpel Savings is potential in West Java, because the number of students in West Java as many as nine million students. I am targeting BJB should reach two million accounts of Simpel in West Java," said Heryawan.
He mentioned, although the value of the funds is quite small, but when collected will be reach a great value. He mentioned, with two million savings accounts (minimum value of each accounts Rp1 million) then certainly the collected fund amounted of Rp 2 trillion.
"Do not look at the fund value, because if it collected could be substantial funds. It can certainly formed the habit of saving among young people in the future, and in turn well behave in their financial arrangements," said Heryawan.
