BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) appreciates the gait of Civil Servants (PNS) athletes, became the runner-up of Asean Civil Service Games (ACSG) 2015 in Malaysia.
The winning should not be celebrated excessively. But should become triggers increasing services and achievements in the future.
"We are proud of PNS athletes dominated from West Java, Indonesia. But let's take the essence of this networking activities, including the expansion of civil servants become the basis of strengthening bureaucratic reforms in the country," he said in Bandung, Friday (27/11).
The PNS athletes winning one gold, one silver, and one bronze. It makes Indonesia become the runner-up behind Malaysia as the host of this event. The gold itself was donated by table tennis team after beating Malaysia 3-1 in the final round on Thursday (19/11). And the one silver and one bronze obtained by badminton and futsal team.
Aher continued expansion of these networks can be maximised by civil servants viewing of the performance of civil servants from other countries who more advanced.
"We are proud the civil servants representing Indonesia able to appear as the runner up. But we would more proud if they can enhance the public services optimally,” he said.
"This could be a record in order to train harder, prepare more maximum as Malaysia did. They are very serious sending the skilled PNS athletes,” he concluded.
