Upstream Citarum & Cimanuk Conservation are Also Planted Coffee Trees

BANDUNG-The Central Government will allocate Rp 280 billion for the conservation of the upstream region of the Citarum River and the River of Cimanuk. This is consistent with the results of the meeting Governor Ahmad Heryawan along with Vice President Jusuf Kalla together with the relevant ministers last week.

"The Central Government has a program for the conservation area of Cimanuk and Citarum. To my knowledge there is Rp 280 billion of funds provided by the state budget in 2017 for the conservation area," said Aher after handover 2 million Coffee Seeds.

It thus informed the governor while giving a speech at the handover ceremony of Coffee Seed to 130  group farmer in West Java, on Tuesday (27/12) in Pakuan Building Bandung.

"We take advantage well, hopefully when we want to reforest, reconserve area of the Citarum upstream and Cimanuk upstream, in conservation. And at the same time there is an economic value, namely the coffee plant," added Aher.

Coffee plants can provide benefits for conservation. Coffee can be grown on the sidelines of plant conservation that is usually a stand plant. "So in hydrology, good forest preservation, good water absorption, flooding is reduced," said Aher.
