Determination of SPAM Rates Must be Completed In week

BANDUNG-West Java Provincial Government requested the tariff determination of Bandung Raya Drinking Water Management System (SPAM) must be completed this week. Secretary Regions (Secretary) of West Java Iwa Karniwa said he could not signed Bandung Raya SPAM tariff for Bandung District and Bandung city because the city is still objected.

"Bandung Regency has been agreed, just Bandung PDAM, I ask technical meeting continue, this Friday it has to be finished, "he said in Bandung, Monday (5/12).

According to the tariff determination must be determined jointly by Bandung Regency and Bandung City, PT Tirta Gemah Ripah (PT TGR), West Java

Province and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. "Tariff setting is a part of development cooperation SPAM Bandung Raya, "he said.

Iwa acknowledge the determination of rates is quite tough because PDAM Tirta Wening Bandung city government-owned still do not agree with the tariff scheme that has been calculated by Board of Development Finance Controller (BPKP) West Java. "From the proposed tariff PT TGR Bandung Rp 1,887 liters / second, Bandung regency Rp 1,510 liters / sec. It still has objection from the city of Bandung, "he said.

Bandung reasoned it could be detrimental PDAM with tariffs of taps for the region which will be served SPAM Bandung Raya was in the area Moch. Toha which majority are low-income people. "BPKP audit results on Rates already exist, just need more discussion especially in Bandung, It needs to be accelerated, "he said.

He recognizes the difficulties in setting tariffs, because PT SE and PDAM

Tirta Wening still see the advantages of assumptions and network maintenance costs. Iwa assess because the network is ready, then in early 2017 if cooperation is smooth, the water can already be streamed to 60,000 inhabitants in the Bandung Regency. (Even)
