BANDUNG - The micro credit program (KUR) is become one solution for financing with low interest initiated by government for small and medium enterprises (UMKM). The Government continues to lower the interest rates in order to ease the burden of UMKM.
"We will do any efforts to improve UMKM business development, such as by reducing the KUR's interest,” said Vice President Jusuf Kalla in the 7th event of National Meeting of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in Bandung.
Currently the KUR interest has reached 12%, from the previous was above 20%. JK said KUR's interest next year will continue to be reduced to 9%.
"The government will provide subsidies to UMKM through reduction of KUR's interest. Next year will be pursued where the KUR's interest will only 9%,” he said.
