JAKARTA-PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (Waskita) and PT Len Industri (Persero) signed a contract of Planning & Project Operations Facility Light Rail Transit Development Palembang which is attended by officials from the Ministry of State Enterprises and the Ministry of Transportation. Through a press release stated that the signing is done by the Top Director of Len, Zakky Gamal Yasin and Waskita Chief of the Division II, Tukijo, on Friday (25/11) at the Waskita Building, Cawang.
Waskita is the contractor appointed directly by the government based on Presidential Decree (Decree) 116 2015 on Accelerating Operation of Light Train (LRT) in South Sumatra. The scope of Waskita work in this project is to build lines including flyovers construction, stations and operational facilities. As the embodiment of Synergy of SOE, Waskita took Len to carry out the work of planning and operating facilities that perform the signing today.
The scope of work to be carried out by Len include: Signaling System (Signaling), Telecommunication, Substation, Power Rail, OCC and SCADA, Track, Platform Screen Door, System Engineering, Automatic Fare Collection (Ticketing System), as well as on Signal Depot.
Len as the only national company that has the signaling technology, this year also is working on APMS (Automatic People Mover System) Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta using Modern signal Unmanned System or also known Driverless CBTC system (Communication Based Train Control) with a path length of 2.98 Km.
Palembang LRT project along the 23.4 kilometers done by Waskita start in October 2015 until June 2018, or before the the ongoing Asian Games. The total contract value of the project is Rp.12,59 Trillion. As of the date of 18 November 2016 the progress that has been achieved amounted to 23.56%.
In the execution of Waskita received assistance from the local government in the form of ease of licensing, permit fee waivers, as well as tax privileges and customs in accordance with the statutory provisions. based on Presidential Decree 116/2015, the LRT network consists of cross-service Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International airport - Palembang Grand Mosque - Jakabaring Sport City. 23 kilometer long trace equipped with 13 stations and 9 sub-stations, as well as passing Musi River bridge. jo
