BANDUNG-Departement of Social Affairs of West Java Province held a Social Campaign in order to fulfil the rights of persons with disabilities in Art Therapy Centre, University Widyatama, Bandung, Sunday (22/11).
The campaign followed by approximately 300 persons with disabilities and their families. It was opened by the Head of Social Affairs of West Java Province, Drs. Arifin H. Kertasaputra, and also attended by the Head of Education boards Bandung, Dr. Elih Sudiapermana, MPd, Chairman of the Rehabilitation with Community-Based Bandung, Atalia Praratya Ridwan Kamil, Head of RRI Bandung, Hasto Kuncoro, SH, representative of Widyatama Foundation, Sri Lestari and Onto Wiiryo Abdul Kadir, Rector of the Widyatama University and invited guests.
The goals want to achieved from the campaign activity, is to improve the understanding and ability of people in the rights fulfilment of persons with disabilities in society. This social campaign themed "Creating an inclusive society through legislation of persons with disabilities and multi-sectoral strategy”.
"The campaign is organised by the Social Affairs of West Java Province, particularly in the section scope of Care and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, University of Widyatama and RRI Bandung," Arifin said on the sidelines of the campaign to jabarprov.go.id.
Through this campaign, it hoped the community can improve the insight and motivation for service to persons with disabilities better.
In addition, through these campaigners can grow confidence and able to conduct activity generally. Disability is not a barrier, but it is a motivation for achieving an achievment.
