    Iwa: Patimban Port Still Wait Subang Spatial Plan

    BANDUNG-Regional Secretary of West Java Iwa Karniwa said his party together with the central government this early week have held a meeting to discuss evaluation of paperwork and administration readiness of the Patimban Port. The meeting which led by Deputy III Coordinating Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure Maritim Ridwan Jamaluddin according to him resulted in the significant development.

    "What was evaluated, there is details engineering design (DED), which has been completed, also the preparation of the master plan of port from the Ministry of Transportation. Meetings involving the area up to the Finance Ministry, "he said in Bandung, Wednesday (9/11).

    The meeting also questioned the authorities that are handled by provinces such as determining recommendations location which will be released for the access to ports as well as Palimanan-Cikopo toll. Iwa ensures the meeting also stressed that the spatial problems in Subang could soon be completed. "SUbang  RTRW Regulation scheduled to be completed in January 2017, "he explained.

    As for West Java Province Spatial Plan (RTRW) according to him, it posssibly could be completed by 2018. However, the meeting decided the project is no need to wait for the completion of West Java RTRW revision because it will use recommendation through presiden regulation entering Patimban as one of the large-scale projects of national priority.

    "Everything is running parallel, the EIA will follow the changes Subang RTRW, "he said.

    West Java provincial government itself is discussing the establishment of location-related to land acquisition plan by the National Land Agency (BPN). Iwa hopes that this process is not affected land speculators because in the Meeting of Subang District Government is asked to escort the exemption in the field. "there will be a 30-meter wide road for access," he said.

    Besides meeting to discuss the finalization of the financial closing of projects will be funded by Japan. According to him, Ministry for Maritime and Ministry of Finance will resolve this case, while the Ministry of Transport will focus on DED, Master Plan of port, while region will focus in the spatial area.
