BANDUNG Government together with the Parliament has enacted regulation No. 1 of 2016 on the second amendment of Law No. 23 of 2002 on the Protection for victims.

One of them is the lack of rules regarding social rehabilitation and protection for victims of sexual violence.

Social rehabilitation and protection of victims of sexual violence are urgent and very necessary effort. Therefore, it is an effort in order to restore the victim to have them back get a position in the family, community, and social environment.
"During this time the victim of sexual assault of children suffer physically, psychological and social. Sexual violence against children are very susceptible result the occurrence of severe injuries, mental disorders, infectious diseases, impaired or loss of reproductive function, and / or death. "
Not to mention, victims of sexual violence are ostracized by family and community because it will bear the shame and trauma that make victims increasingly depressed psychologically.
"Social rehabilitation is also very necessary to do so victims have a good self-confidence again so that they can be aware of and be able to responsible for his future self, family, community, even nation and state,".
Therefore, the government needs to bring more derivatives comprehensive regulation from the regulation which has addressed to the victims, not only perpetrators of sexual violence. Esteem and recovery aspects and adaptation for victims of sexual violence also needs to be highlighted in order to return acceptable by the social environment in which they live.
