    Indigofera Would Cultivated in 10 regions of West Java


    CIANJUR-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan or Aher said leaf shrub Indigofera plants for animal feed will be cultivated in 10 districts or cities in West Java. It was said by Aher when did the first harvest and launched the first shipment Indigofera in containers at Sindangbarang Cianjur, Tuesday (18/10).

    "Because it is helpful in the farm, then we will develop and empower Indigofera in 10 districts or cities, through the Movement of Cultivation Indigofera or Gendir, which will be included in the West Java super priority program" he said.

    According to him, the cultivation of indigofera will lead to increase protein sources of or animal nutrients needed by children in the future generation.

    "With Indigofera, farms will be increased, and the number of livestock will also increase, thus a potential source of animal protein consumed by children could be increased then finally it is increasing the endurance and intelligence of our children" hope Aher.

    Aher even hope, every household can have at least 35 goats for consumption and sale.

    "Besides the economic impact, also have an impact on improving human intelligence and physical endurance" he explained.

    Some of districts and cities are including Cianjur, Kuningan, Sukabumi, Indramayu, Majalengka, Bandung and Tasikmalaya.
