BANDUNG-West Java largest market share of non-oil exports in August 2016 were the United States, Japan and Thailand.
Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Java Bachdi Ruswana said exports to the United States was valued at USD 456.99 million, while Japan worth USD 241.07 million and USD 149.77 million for Thailand.
"These three countries accounted for 37.45 percent of West Java total exports," he said.
The export volume of West Java in August 2016 amounted to 786 340 tons, up 36.70 percent compared with July 2016, which reached 575 230 tonnes. The increase in the volume of non-oil exports reached 44.61 percent, and the volume of oil and gas exports which rose 12.35 percent.
The export value of 10 major categories of goods in August 2016 was valued at USD 1.57 billion, up 46.81 percent compared to July 2016. The whole group of goods has increased.
