BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) provides exposure in front of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (LHK) in the framework of National Tree Planting Competition 2016 in Sanggabuana Meeting Room Gedung Sate, Jl. Diponegoro No. 22, Bandung, on Thursday (10.06.16).

On this occasion, Aher explained the various things that have been done by the West Java provincial government related to environmental management of trees and forestry in West Java during year 2015. One of the interesting point is Aher explained about the four West Java Innovation in his presentation titled Planting and Maintenance trees of West Java province in 2015.

"Why did the planting and maintenance? So that the word maintenance was being inseparable from planting. For if planted only then allowed, that's the problem that we often face. But if there are two, Insha Allah maintenance ensures that the planting managed to grow big , "said Aher in the beginning of his presentation in front of the Tree Planting Competition Assessment team Ministry of Environmnet and Forests (LHK) led by the Director of Protected Forest Management Unit Ministry of Environment and Forest Herudoyo Ciptono.

There are four innovations proposed by Aher. First, Governmental Incentives Investment Patterns with the principle of TTAB (Planting - Growing - Safe - Pay). The planting pattern is performed on Mangrove area with an incentive fee of Rp 3,500 / rod with a pattern TTAB maintained until the 2nd year, maintenance given an incentive of 20% in the first year, and 10% the second year.

In this program, the incentives provided through direct contracts with the public, then the seedlings are provided by the community, and the process of planting and maintenance is also done by the communities themselves. This innovation has been applied by the West Java since 2009 - 2015 and has reached 1,819 hectares wide, as in the Pusaka Nagara District, Subang, as well as District of Pasekan and Kandanghaur, Indramayu.
