    Governor Welcomes Central Working Meeting (Rakerpus) in Bandung

    BANDUNG-Board Indonesian Librarian Association (IPI) will hold Central Working Meeting  (Rakerpus) XX and National Scientific Seminar At the same time, Bandung and West Java as the host of event.


    Secretary of National Library, as a Chairman of the Central IPI Dedi Junaidi said, holding Rakerpus, and the appropriate National Seminar
    with AD / ART IPI and the IPI Mandate Congress XIII 2015 in Padang, West Sumatra, then PP - IPI will conduct the Rapat Kerja Pusat XX and Indonesian Librarian Association National Scientific Seminar 2016.


    "Association of Regional Librarian West Java Province won the trust as the host, "he said during an audience with West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, in Pakuan State Building, Friday night(09/30/2016).

    The activities will take place at the Hotel Grand Panghegar Jl. Merdeka No. 2 Bandung, on October 11 to 13, 2016.

    "The speakers who will be present include Director General of Information and Public Communication Kemkominfo RI, Dra. Rosarita Niken, Mayor of Bandung Ridwan Kamil, the Indonesia Read Ambassador Najwa Shihab, "he said.

    He said that, this actvity is aim to consolidate and align the task of the organization. A national seminar themed 'Librarian and Social Media 'will explore thoroughly the understanding of benefits using social media for librarian.

    West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) welcomed to this event. Especially in Rakerpus it will be formulated breakthrough, or the work program encouraging librarians to develop the capacity and function.

    A librarian at a library acts as a transmitter of information. In education, the role of the library is still a staple for educator and researcher, said the Governor.
