CIREBON-Head of Women and Children Empowerment Integrated Service Center (P2TP2A) West Java Province Netty Heryawan attends event of campaign against violence to women and children together with Head of Women Empowerment Child Protection and Family Planning Agency (BP3AKB) West Java Province Neni Kencanawati on the football field Cirebon, Thursday (12/11).
Netty explained types of violence to students in Cirebon, namely physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence and economic violence which often occurs in families. In addition, there are also bullying in school environment, human trafficking and violence in relationship.
“Things to know is four areas off-limits to be touched by foreigners and suspicious, they are face area, around the chest, between the two sides of the legs and the back area," she said.
According to Netty, the violence occurred not because the less of good people but most of good people usually keep silent and let the violence happen. "So we have to multiply good people who are committed to join solve various problems of violence," she said.
Head of Women Empowerment Child Protection and Family Planning Agency (BP3AKB) West Java Province Neni Kencanawati explained the campaign participants were mostly students because this is where we can provide an understanding of danger the violence on women and children. This campaign will be implemented in four regions as sampling to be followed by cities/regencies in West Java.
“These four regions are Sumedang, Cirebon, Bandung and Purwakarta regency. This election based on the highest number of sending migrant worker with high enough violence," she added.
Finally, Netty hopes West Java people can be more care to their environment and not stay silent about the various violence around. If we see and feel the violence, we should to opponents, report it and stop it now.
