BANDUNG-Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) is asked to update the data of teachers eligible for Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG). The matter was revealed by the Deputy Chairman of the commission, Fikri Faqih, in a release received by jabarprov.go.id, Tuesday (30/8).
"At the moment the Ministry of Finance is planning to cut the budget surplus (over budget) for TPG in the region, amounting to Rp. 23.3 trillion. Thus, Kemendikbud needs to update the data" he said.
On July 1, 2016, the Secretary General of Kemendikbud sent a letter to the Director General of Fiscal Balance, Ministry of Finance, who requested that a budget surplus of Rp. 23.3 trillion, not channeled. Letter numbered 33130 / A.A1 / PR / 2016, then followed up MoF officially on August 16, 2016, addressed to heads of regions (governors, regents and mayors).
Based on information from the Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel Kemendikbud, Sumarna Surapranata, explaining the over budget because there are teachers who retired and moved on. This raises the remaining funds over budget financing (Silpa) in a number of areas that are not absorbed.
On that basis, if the budget cuts ensued, Commission X expect the Ministry of Finance does not overlook the obligation to give the right of teachers to get these benefits. "Do not let the teachers be oppressed," said Fikri.
