    Mayor : Community Organization Should Clean Up Bandung Once a Week


    BANDUNG-Various effort should be made by the Bandung Government to make the city that also called as Paris Van Java remains good, safe, convenient and feasible to be occupied by citizens. This is not policy issued by government, but it’s an appeal that comes directly from the mayor.

    Ridwan Kamil, Bandung Mayor instructed the club, the community, NGOs and community organizations in Bandung in order to carry out the cleaning (bebersih Bandung) every week.

    "To be “Bandung Juara”, it certainly needs the support of all parties. I call out to organization, NGOs can do the clean-up once a week," he said.

    According to him, it’s such a form of love of Bandung. It is also an effort to remind the public the necessity of this activities.

    "Everyone must support the government's program to the city of collaboration," said the Mayor, at an event last weekend.

    Meanwhile, head of Bandung Forum for the Family of Indonesian Veterans (FKPPI), Mararif Ade said it is ready to help program the Bandung Government in order to clean up to Bandung Champion (Bandung Juara).

    "We are ready to cut personnel by 50 people to help clean up sidewalk or river and we are ready if asked for any assistance either by local government or the military," he said.
