    The Governor Preached on Eid Al-Fitr Prayer at Gasibu Field

    BANDUNG-The Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan, along with the Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar, and The Regonal Secretary conducted an Eid Al-Fitr prayer at Gasibu Field on Wednesday (06/07).

    Acting as a preacher was The Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan. In his khutbah, The Givernor congratulated the people and wish them a happy Eid. "To all the people of West Java, happy Eid Al-Fitr, personally, and in the name of the Governance on my command, I apologise," he said.

    I hope Allah SWT would accept all of our good deeds during the Ramadan and thus making us a more cautious human being.

    "We have just entered the Syawal month and leaving a beautiful and merciful month. I hope, all of our good deeds during the Ramadan would be accepted by Allah SWT and He will grant all of our prayers," he said.

    Aher revealed the number of Zakat of the people of West Java which was reported by Baznas and it is increasing about 22% or Rp 38 Billion compared by the gain of last year. The number of this year's gain is Rp 253.934.891.430.

    With the details, Zakat Fitrah which is converted into money in the amount of Rp 214.636.556.720, Zakat Mal in the amount of Rp 26.297.618.326 and sedekah Rp 13.716.393.000.

    Aher said that this number is not describing the whole picture, instead it is based on what has been reported by Baznas. In the future, he hopes that the people would distribute their Zakat through an official institution so that it could be monitored.

    "In the future, I hope that there are many Zakat Institution spreading accros the West Java region so that the distribution of Zakat could be monitored," he said.

    After conducted Eid prayer, The Governor opened his house, in Pakuan building, for the people.
