BANDUNG-In accordance with the appeal of the Minister of State Apparatus Utilisation and Bureaucracy Reform (PAN-RB), Yuddy Chrisnandi, on the prohibition of the use of service vehicles on Eid Homecoming 2016, The Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) said that he is in favor and it is already implemented for as long as eight years in West Java.
"Service vehicle is cannot be used for Eid Homecoming. Period," said the Governor at Gedung Sate, Bandung, on Monday (27/06/16).
Aher said that service vehicle is for official purposes and cannot be used for personal perposes.
"The policy of the minister of PAN-RB is matching the policy that has been implemented in West Java. We appealed to our employee to not using service vehicles for Eid Homecoming. Service vehicle is for official purposes only. That is the reason," he said.
In accordance with that, The Government invited the people to use personal vehicle or mass transportation. He suggest the people to use four wheeled vehicles, because this year, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Transportation, it is expected that there is a 51% surge of motorcycle rider on this years homecoming event or abour 10 Million of riders.
Therefore, the Governor suggested the people to use four wheeled vehicle for safety reason.
The Government also provides 80 buses to carry the people for free. It is expected that there will be more from the CSR of companies.
"I hope that the people use four wheeled vehicle or mass transportation, because when using car, the driver could take turns and rest," said Aher.
