BANDUNG-The price of basic need in several traditional markets in Bandung is still on the reasonable limit. The Chairman of The IV Commission of The House of Representative of Indonesian Republic (DPR RI), Edy Prabowo, said during his inspection in several traditional markets in Bandung city that there are some commodities which are fluctuate but most of them are relatively stable.
"We found that some comodities are fluctuate, but most of them are still on the reasonable limit. Most of the comodities are relatively stable, such as beef. It is still ranging around Rp 120.000/Kg while poultry is ranging around Rp 34.000-Rp 35.000/Kg," he said.
According to Edy, he still considered the price is reasonable. If the surge is no longer reasonable, The Government should take immediate action.
"The reason behind the unreasonable surge must be studied. If the issue is found, The Government should take an immediate action. The Cheap Market Operation is just a shock therapy. It does not solve the real problem," he said.
The visit was also attended by West Java Bulog, The Department of Industry and Trade of West Java, and another concerning institution in West Java.(Pun)
