    Indonesian Deaf Delegation Attended a UN Meeting



    BANDUNG-As much as 18 Indonesian Deaf teenagers attended Conference of State Parties to the Convention of The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) which was held in the UN Headquarter, New York.

    In the release of indoas.com on Sunday (10/6), it is stated that the Indonesian Deaf delegation was welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador, Dian Triansyah Djani, Permanent Representative of Indonesia to the United Nations, at the office of Indonesian Permanent Delegation to the UN in New York.

    The Indonesian Deaf Youth delegation told Djani about the daily challenges they had to face such as discrimination in their work field, the lack of high education facility in Indonesia to support the Deaf, and the oblique view from the society towards them.
