BANDUNG-The Government of West Java together with The Third Regional Military Command/Siliwangi is determined to continuously clean Citarum River so that in the future it will be a clean river.
For that, on Thursday (2/6) The Government cleans the river together with Indonesian Army personnel, Civil Apparatus, and the people in Citepus Bridge, Palasari, Moh. Toha, Bandung. Also attending the activity are the Governor, Ahmad Heryawan; Vice Governor, Deddy Mizwar; The Commander of The Regiona Millitary Command III and his staffs.
From the bridge it is can be seen that piles of garbage obstruct the river flow. In order to resolve the problem, The Millitary Command brought an Excavator which is imported from The Combat Engineering Unit of Indonesian army in Dayeuh Kolot.
After initiating the programme, The Governor and The Millitary Commander inspected the location on a boat. The inspection trip is finished in Kopo, Bandung Regency.
Meanwhile, some weeks ago, the Millitary Command also cleaned Cikapundung River which located in Cipurut Village, Dayeuh Kolot, Bandung Regency. Now, The river is free from garbage. This programme is also being implemented in Cikapundung River, Cijagra Village-Bojongsoang.
