BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan in his meeting with Belgian Ambassador to Indonesia Patrick Herman in Bandung, offering sea port development investment in West Java.
According to Ahmad Heryawan, West Java needs a new sea port for the distribution of goods and services over the ocean besides to Cirebon.
“Yes, we offer to Belgium Ambassador for port development investment in West Java, because we know that Belgian is good on building and managing ports in the world. They seems interested in it,” he said after a meeting with the Belgium Ambassador in Gedung Sate, on Thursday (29/10) ,
About investment in the port, Governor said that it has just on offering stage to Belgium, there has been no detailed discussion, because it have to involved the central government.
"There has been no detailed discussions because it needs to involve the central government for the construction of the port. But it had been touted that Subang as the most suitable area to build the sea port in West Java,” he said.
In this meeting, governor was accompanied by the Head of BPMPT West Java Dadang Maksoem and Head of Tourism and Cultural Boards Nunung Sobari. While Belgium Ambassador Patrick Herman, was accompanied by a team of Belgian Investment Division.
