    The Minister of Defence launched Indonesian Farmers Market in Bandung



    BANDUNG - The State Minister of Defence, Andi Amran Sulaiman launched the people's business improvement through "Indonesian Farmers Market" on Sunday May 15th, 2016 during the car free day event in Jl. Dago, Bandung accompanied by The Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan.

    According to Minister Andi, the establishment of this market is in order to help the stability of foodstuffs' price and supply. "By doing so, in the future, The Government doesn't have to do a market operation, but it is enough to consult the farmers market," He said.

    According to the information gathered from the Minister of Agriculture, to this date, there are about 200 Farmers Markets throughout Java island which has been opened for business since January 2016.

    The Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan expressed his supports towards the establishment of Indonesian Farmers Market. The continuous growth of foodstuffs price is the results of too many stages that the fodstuffs need to go through before finally it reaches the markets. There are nine stages through which the foodstuff get distributed befor it finally reaches the market. Today, we cut the stages to only three.

    After launched the Indonesian Farmers Market, Minister Andy along with the Governor, inspect the cheap foodstuff market. They also help to give service for the costumer. In the exhibition, The Indonsian Farmers Market sells a kilo of rice for just Rp 7.500 in a 5kg package. This a highquality rice that was produced in "Ciherang".
