BANDUNG - The Government of West Java launched an integrated IMW service which took place in the West Hall of Gedung Sate on Friday (13/5). The Governor of West Java, Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) said that the service will have seven services for the IMW and their families.
Those services including: one way integrated service, online protection service, money loan for IMW and their families, IMW product service, Indonesian Migrant Workers Institute (IMWI) facility, and insurance settlement for the Korean ex-IMW.
Aside of that, gradually, there will be a service to facilitate the families of IMW to get Smart Indonesian Card and Healthy Indonesian Card said the Governor.
The integrated sevice will cover nine Regency and City. They are Bandung Regency, Cianjur, Kabupaten Sukabumi, Subang, Karawang, Purwakarta, Majalengka, Indramayu and Cirebon.
In his statement, the Governor said that the programme was made to improve the management of Indonesian Migrant Worker particularly the regulation improvement.
In a series of IMW management service programme, the company which is going to recruit an Indonesian Migrant Worker must be in cordination with the Government. They should be coordinating in terms of training, departure until repatriation. All of those stages must be reported to the Government.
The Governor adds that through the new regulation, there will be a fundamental change in terms of TKI recruitment. Candidates for the migrant workers should be encouraged to remain cautious, because the management improvement is still in progress and not going to be implemented until the end of 2016.
