BANDUNG - The Ministry of Tourism is ready to build 100 thousands of homestays along with 50 thousands of toilets until the end of 2019 for all of Indonesia's tourism sites. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Arif Yahya said that the construction will be handled by the private company along with the SMEs.
"The project will be funded by the State Saving Bank (BTN) while the ownership will be offered to the SMEs through credit system either homestays or toilets under the name KPH (Homestay Ownerships Credit) and KPT (Toilet Ownership Credits)," He said.
According to Arif, the development of these homestays and toilets will be International grade in order to sustain Indonesia's tourism.
"Tourists, either international or domestic, are giving complaints about the poor lodging and toilets facilities. If they are taken care by the Regional Government they become dirty and unproper. Thus, we offer the ownership to the private company through a light credit," He said
The development of these homestays and toilets will be started by the mid 2016 and will be initiated in Geopark Ciletuh.
