BANDUNG-Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar said about his firmness against developers in Bekasi does not mean anti-investment. According to Demiz, his actions were merely to enforce the rules and his authority. This was revealed by Demiz in a discussion on Youth Expectation on the Future Leader of West Java in Bandung, Monday (14/8).
"I ask that it be suspended because there is no recommendation from West Java Provincial Government because according to the regulation, development must have recommendation from West Java Provincial Government based on spatial planning," he said.
According to him, if any infrastructure or physical development, do not pay attention to the spatial itself, then the disaster will happen.
"What happens if the spatial is violated?" The sustainability of the environment will be disturbed because the spatial plan is actually made for it, to maintain environmental sustainability, "he explained.
As reported previously, one of the developers who are building a region in Bekasi asked to temporarily stop construction, because it has not received a recommendation from the West Java Provincial Government.
"Investment is important but do not break the spatial plan for investment," he concluded.
